The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that we have a pair of new pitchside dugouts at Ballards Ash, with integrated storage.

Having completed a successful crowdfunding appeal, with additional support from several individual and corporate sponsors, we were able to lay the bases at the end of September. Then last week a dedicated team of volunteers came together to assemble the two units like a giant set of Meccano!

The task proved much more involved than originally anticipated, and it took the whole week to assemble both units. Under the watchful eyes of Rob Bloxham and Jonathan Davies, the team, including Phil Ougan, Phil Woodcock, Laurie Sweeney, Tony Geeragh, Scott Richards and Andy Collier, invested blood, sweat and tears to get the units installed, ready for our 1st XV home match against St Austell.

Thankfully, the weather was kind to everyone this Saturday, but the protection provided by the dugouts on Pitch 1 will undoubtedly come into its own during the winter!

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this project to fruition.
