Fancy a bit of Oktoberfest with your rugby match day?
On Saturday 10 October, we're teaming up with local JGK Butchers & Delicatessen for a German-inspired food menu at Ballards Ash, alongside a full afternoon of rugby.
The 1st XV welcome Chew Valley RFC in Regional 1 South West, while the 3rd XV take on Pewsey Vale RFC on the adjoining pitch.
And you don't need to know your knock-ons from your knockwursts to come along.
What's cooking?
JGK will be serving an Oktoberfest-inspired menu, with all the sausages and meats made and prepared at their Royal Wootton Bassett shop:
- Bratwurst with sauerkraut & onions
- Currywurst with fries
- Pulled pork roll
- 100% Scotch beef burger
- Nice 'n' Spicy Dog
The bar will be open as usual, so there's every reason to make an afternoon of it.
Come down for something to eat, grab a drink, and stay to watch the rugby. If you've never been to a Bassett match before, this is a pretty good way to start.
