On Friday 3rd February, RWBRFC’s Ravens were presented with fantastic new warm-up tops and sub coats by local sponsors GXO and Iceland.

Representatives from all three Ravens age groups met with Kirk Giles and Kane Thomason from GXO to receive the new kit.

GXO has worked with Iceland Foods Ltd. in Swindon for a number of years. Kirk Giles, General Manager of both Swindon sites, explained that the company is keen to build links and support local community organisations in practical ways. So, when he was approached by colleague Paul Smith, father of a Ravens player and volunteer at RWBRFC, with the idea of sponsoring warm-up kit for the players, things rapidly gathered momentum.

GXO is Iceland’s supply chain partner, and they were equally keen to be involved in the project, resulting in the additional provision of branded sub coats for each of the Ravens’ age groups.

Georgina Plant, Minis & Juniors Chair, thanked GXO and Iceland on behalf of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC for their much-appreciated support of the RWB Ravens.

It's safe to say that the Ravens players are delighted with their new kit and wasted no time in putting it to good use during their fixtures over the weekend; most notably the U16W had a resounding win against Trowbridge RFC’s U16W. A fantastic result all round!
