Ballards Ash was busy again with week 2 of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC's Minis Festival. We caught up with some of our younger age groups for their weekend highlights:
Under 6s | Freddie
Freddie showed great sportsmanship during this week's under 6s training. They are really coming together as a team!
Under 7s | Finley, Reuben, Charlie & Seb
Four players of the week today! Finley, Reuben, Charlie and Seb! They were chosen for outstanding running, passing and tagging.
Under 8s | Squad
Amazing festival for the under 8’s!. They all worked really well together and were happy to help make up teams with visiting clubs so everyone could play! Well done guys.
Under 9s | Squad
Under 9s had an amazing festival. First contact fixture. They all played amazingly well and welcomed the visiting teams. Some seniors players stopped by to hand out the medals!
Under 13s | George
U13s player of the week is George who scored four tries with some excellent carrying and support play and put in some big tackles in defence too.
Special mention to the 14 boys in total who put on the Old Richians jersey in the true spirit of rugby to make sure we had a game on.

Under 14s | Squad
Away win for U14s this weekend at Stow-on-the-wold. A tight game but RWB dug deep in last quarter to secure a win, a great all round performance from all.
Under 15s | Will
A brilliant team performance in Stow-on-the-wold was very well conducted by our scrumhalf and man of the match Will.
Under 15s | Owen
Man of the match against a strong Witney team. Despite a period of non-contact rugby he came back with strong running and hard tackling.

RWBRFC U16s won against Cirencester/Tetbury Barbarians U16s. MoTM was Freddy.
Under 11s | Bertie
No game for the Under 11’s this week but Bertie Bassett was given his new shirt for the season. He has completed his 4 week trial and is now a proud member of the Bassett family.
