This weekend has been jam-packed for our Youth teams, starting with a Friday night fixture under the floodlights, and continuing with the second week of our Minis Festival.

When it comes to our Festival, we'd like to give special thanks to all the volunteers who helped us across the two weeks; from the Coaches and TMs who made sure we ran to plan and 500-600 kids who played great games of rugby; through to our Senior players who came to welcome our visitors, help with parking of hundreds of cars, put up tents and marked out the pitches. Not forgetting the hardworking team on the BBQ and kiosk who sold out of food both weekends 🍔

Under 6s | Ben

Ben was coaches player of the week this week. Ben showed good handling during the passing drills and tried hard through the session. He was a good teammate to his fellow players.

Under 7s | Edie and Coby

All players did brilliantly in their first mini rugby festival and did the club proud. Coby was great on both sides of the ball, working hard in defence and attack. Edie was reluctant to take part at first but scored two great tries and shows what can be achieved with a bit of perseverance. All the coaches were very proud of all our players today.

Under 8s | Charlie and Freddie

Charlie and Freddie were players of the week for U8s for good team work, engaging with the game and scoring some incredible tries!

Under 9s | Freddie

Freddie had an epic tournament , he really grew on his basic skills and listened to what the coaches had to say and put it into practice. Well done Freddie!

Under 13s | Noah

Noah was Player of the Match for excellent play in attack, defence and scrum. Noah made strong runs but also competed well at the ruck where Cirencester were very strong.

Under 15s | Charlie

The U15s travelled to Clifton for a tough game played in a great spirit. This week's player of the week is Charlie. He produced some monster tackles on Friday night.

Under 14s | George and George

We had an amazing Friday night game under the lights. Thank you to all the spectators who game to support the boys.
Players of the week go to George H who was his usual all-action self in the centres, making several line breaks and big hits in defence. Second one is George B-H who brought a new dimension to his game last night with some big carries, managing to put us on the front foot several times.

Under 16s | Guy

The U16s played at Stroud, there were a number of good performances but our MotM today goes to Guy. He was outstanding in scrum and open play. He would take out 3 or 4 players every time he carried because they couldn't handle his power. With some great off loads in attack he created a number of opportunities for us to get 2 on 1s.

Under 16s | Lucas

Lucas was class, with a challenging day at the office, he lead by example and was a true leader. His tackling was decisive and stopped a lot of their attacks. He linked well with the backs and fought till the end.

Colts | Harvey

The Colts Player of the Match Away at Thatcham was Harvey.

Colts | James

Our Colts Player of the Match at Home against Cleve was James Thornton. Scoring two tries using his power to carry really strongly, giving front foot ball, great defence and work rate.

Ravens Under 12s | Daisy

Daisy showed us all real hard and fast running, brutal tackles and stamina to do it across all the games a deserving winner of Ray the Raven 🐦‍⬛ Well done to all the girls!

Ravens Under 14s | Emma

Emma was awarded the Player of the Match for her impressive growth throughout the games, with excellent offloads, improved tackles, and her first try for the Ravens.
Well done girls, you should be very proud of yourselves.

Ravens Under 18s | Keira

Player of the Match was Keira.
