We caught up with our Minis, Juniors and Ravens teams to find out how they all got on last weekend.

Under 7s | Arlo

Another great turn out from Bassett under 7s, outnumbering Devizes 2 to 1. It was a brilliant effort from all the Bassett players this week, and the player of the week was Arlo, who scored plenty of tries as usual but also excelled in defence this week.

Under 8s | Seb

Seb made good passes and putting 100 per cent effort! Calling the line and making good passes.

Under 9s | Remy

Remy was player of the week for his attacking runs. He changed direction with ease allowing him to find holes in the opposition defence.

Under 10s | Alex & Rufus

Alex displayed great line speed and tackle technique against Devizes. He made a number of mazey runs through the opposition today causing them problems every time. Strong work as ever Alex.

Rufus was our tackler of the week stripping the ball multiple times from the home team. Well done players!💪🏉

Under 11s | Oliver & Jack

Oliver was a deserving winner of player of the week, leading from the front and really showing his strength with some powerful runs.
Tackle of the week went to Jack, who was on fire this morning, making tackle after tackle - nothing got past him today!

Under 12s | Sam

There was no game today for the Under 12s so it was down to training. Player of the week went to Sam who showed good teamwork and over the past few weeks made the new players very welcome.

Under 13s | Rio

For the U13's home game against Stow, Rio (pictured left) was man of the match for his immediate impact on the game, effort and enthusiasm.

Under 14s | Alex & Jowan

Alex for his intelligent kicking and some last ditch try saving tackles.

Jowan ran the game at 10, scoring five tries and converting all his kicks.

Under 15s | Isaac

The U15s hosted Cirencester at home. A really enjoyable, tough game played in the right spirit. Player of the week was Isaac who demonstrated desire and fire at training.

Under 16s | George & Owen

George and Owen showed a tackling masterclass vs Tetbury. George also scored a hat-trick helping the team to a well deserved win.

Under 16s | Will

Against a well drilled opposition Will managed to find enough gaps in a determined defence to keep his team on the front foot and in the game. Calm under severe pressure he was instrumental in enabling Bassett to win the try count, but on unfortunately on this occasion not the game.

Ravens Under 12s | Isla

No game this week for the U12 Ravens. In our Friday training session we looked at footwork on the ball, rucking, and some team fitness races. Our Raven of the week was Isla, who's technique through all the drills was excellent and she showed great effort across the whole session.

Ravens Under 18s | Emily

In their inaugural league match, the Royal Hurricanes U18s - a combined team with players from Royal Wootton Bassett RFC Ravens and Gloucestershire's Hurricanes - delivered an outstanding performance against Avonmouth Old Boys RFC U18s, securing a decisive 52-22 victory.

The Royal Hurricanes demonstrated exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance in their first league outing. Emily was named player of the match by the opposition for her leadership and performance. This impressive victory sets a promising tone for the rest of the season.
