Ballards Ash saw the first weekend of our Minis Festival take place with our Under 10s-12s teams taking to the pitches.  Lets catch up with some highlights from across our Youth section:

Under 10s | Squad

The player of the week was the whole of the U10’s squad who preformed exceptionally at the Festival. The players put into practice the new contact skills they had been working on in the previous weeks. Great work team!

Under 11s | Freya & Archie

Special mentions go to Freya for tackle of the week she just kept going and going, putting 100% effort into every tackle, and Archie who was just everywhere today with his tackling, running and just leading by example from start to finish! Well done to both of you!

Under 13s | Rupert and Joshua

It was very hard to pick just one player of the week this week. Well done to Rupert and Joshua for picking up as joint players of the week for the under 12's.

Rupert with his running, speed and tackling throughout the day.  Joshua with constant ball winning at the scrum as hooker giving his teammates the ball and getting them on the front foot throughout the games.

Under 13s | Daniel

Daniel was the U13s player of the match against Stow. A great all-round game against tough opposition. Fearless with his tackling against big runners. And strong running into a physical defence.

Under 14s | Mosese

Our player of the week is Mosese. Great energy in his kick chase and tenacious in both defence and attack, his efforts rewarded with two tries.

Under 15s | Zac

U15's travelled to Stow this Sunday. A good game played in the right spirit. Player of the week is Zac. He made some good runs during training.

Colts | Jimmy

Jimmy was player of the Colts match at Gordano. Brilliant in defence and supported in attack. His work rate was outstanding.

Colts | Oli

The Colts player of the match at Chosen Hill is Oli. Great carries, made breaks, support play very good and defense was very strong. Led from the front, just what we needed at Captain.

U14 Girls | Team

The U14 Ravens invited their friends to a fun assault course, rugby skill based training session as we look to build up our player numbers.

The players really enjoyed the activities, and declared the session a roaring success. We now have three new players returning for more training, and are another step closer to a full squad. Thank-you to everyone who participated!

U16 Girls | Squad

U16s Ravens helped Supermarine and Worcester, they showed how much of a force Ravens are, broke lines, carried well, and the tackles were low and amazing! Each of the girls who played gave their all. I want to shout out all of them for putting a heck of a shift in for both the teams they played for. Ella, Ruby, and Evie played for Supermarine. Eliza, Emily, Grabri, and Lucie played for Worcester. Both coaches have asked if we can go back and help them! I'm proud of you all! #GoRavens!

U12 Girls | Lydia

Excellent work by Lydia this week, who was Raven’s U12 player of the week, really ferocious in the tackles, the girls all communicated really well, and showed great competitiveness at training.

U18 Girls | Emily

Emily was playing out of position at scrum half, delivered a dominant performance and earned Player of the Match honors.

Under 6s | Coby

Our Under 6s had a special session on the First Team pitch during the Festival this week! Coby was player of the week. His footwork and ball handling were excellent in the skills session and he was very focussed, listening really well and trying really hard.
