Our youth players were back out on the pitch this weekend, and boy was it a wet one! Lets see how they got on...

Under 6s | Ada

This week's training session was another wet and windy challenge, but our players showed great spirit and determination!

Special congratulations to Ada, our Coach's Player of the Week, who excelled in the games today with her impressive agility and enthusiasm.

Huge thanks to our supportive parents who braved the elements to cheer from the sidelines and well done to all of our players for another great session.

Under 7s | Otto

In pretty atrocious conditions at time it was heartening to see the effort on display by all of our players.

The player of the week was Otto. He won fruit salad, Avonvale’s version of bulldog, he listened well and did really well in the matches against Avonvale.

Under 8s | Skyla

The U8 Player of the Week was Skyla, who supported her teammates in attack and was solid in defence when required. She also scored two brilliant individual tries. Well done, Skyla!

Under 10| Millie

Player of the week was Millie for excellent communication skills with direct running all while smiling as the heavens opened! Awesome stuff Mille!

Under 9| Atti

Atti, showed great determination in defence and attack, demonstrating this with some great running with the ball and some brilliant tackling off of it.

Under 12| Seb

Well done to Seb for picking up Player of the week for the Under 12's, great performance from him when he came off the subs bench, breaking tackles and carrying the ball up the pitch.. driving the team forward with every carry.. topping it off with a well deserved try.

Under 14| Pierson

Pierson set the standard for his game early on when he flew off the line and put in a great tackle on the Grove no8. Consistently dominated his opposition at scrum time and had great energy getting around the field to help secure our ball and making a number of good tackles.

Under 15| Jamie

U15's Hosted Keynsham in wet, wild and freezing conditions. Despite the weather both teams produced some committed rugby played in an excellent rugby spirit. Player of the week is Jamie who was a bundle of energy on Friday night.

Ravens Under 16| Eva & Eliza

Ravens U16s travelled down to Weston-Super-Mare to play in some atrociously  wet  conditions.  The Ravens put on a fantastic display of driving rugby with good defence for the majority of the game.

There were some outstanding performances across the team. However, the opposition's player of the match went to our No 8, Eva, for her dynamic runs and ball carries and our players' player went to Eliza, whose overall performance was excellent. Well done to all the girls.
