Oh, how it rained on Sunday ☔ but that didn't stop our Minis, Juniors and Ravens teams giving it their all out on the rugby pitch.

Lets see how they got on at the weekend...

Under 6s | Hattie

Hattie was today’s coaches player. She showed great determination throughout the session and did very well in the dodgeball. Her passing was good and she showed good confidence and resilience in the poor conditions.

Under 7s | Sebastian

It was a great effort from the U7s all round, especially given the weather conditions. There were lots of great tries scored, and good passing, just need to work on the passes going backwards a bit more!! The defending was really good today and Sebastian did particularly well in that regard and was our player of the week as a consequence.

Under 8s | Skyla

Skyla was really good at Applying her skills in the game such as side stepping and twisting.

Under 9s | Rhys

Well done Rhys! Amazing work with tackling and building that confidence. You got really involved and stuck in this week, well done!

Under 11s | Sam & Isla

Player of the week today was Sam, who showed huge grit and determination to keep going, running hard and making tackles - really pleased to see him rewarded with a try at the end today. And there was some good news with our tackling as Isla won tackle of the week for a last ditch try saving tackle on the line.

Under 10s | Annie

The U10’s player of the week was Annie whose powerful carries and leg drive led to several tries including our first ever from a maul. Her tackling and passing was as always on point. Awesome work Annie.

Special mention for Harry who was a demon tackler throughout today and was our tackler of the week! 🏉

Ravens Under 14s | Dotty & Addie

The U14s travelled to Yatton RFC with support from Tetbury and Trowbridge to play a combined Kingswood and North Somerset Barbarians team.

Our players of the day were Dotty for excellent footwork and blistering line breaks, and Addie for her strong running lines and quick thinking.

Ravens Under 16s | Bella

It was a tough, challenging day on the pitch today. The girls worked really hard as a team. The forwards rucked and jackalled well.

But our player of the match for Ravens U16 goes to Bella Upton. She ran some great attacking lines from deep and made some fantastic try-saving tackles in defence, which was noted by the opposition coaches as well.

Under 12s | Seb

Seb has recently joined the U12s with no prior rugby experience. It's been impressive to see how quickly he's picked up the game and progressed on his rugby journey. His tackling in today's session really stood out, demonstrating great technique, physicality, and the ability to make adjustments based on the coaches' feedback.

Under 14s | Eddie & Greg

Players of the week are Eddie: his energy around the pitch is unmatched, I’m genuinely starting to believe he can teleport as he just seems to be everywhere! He led our defensive press with his linespeed today.

And Greg: he started the season skeptical about being switched to Full Back, but his performances there are getting better and better each week, scored four excellent try’s today and his communication skills in defence played a key role in limiting Stow to just the onr try.

Ravens Under 12s | Squad

The Ravens were Guard of Honour at Kingsholm Stadium for the Gloucester Hartbury vs Exeter Chiefs match. They did the pitch parade, guard of honour and were able to meet some of the players after the match 🏉

Under 16s | Kevin

Man of the match was Kevin. His positional play was very good, his tackling has come on leaps and bounds. He's really becoming part of a back three with him linking well with the full back. We are proud of how he is developing, as are so many of our players.

Under 16s | Will

U16s MOTM today was Will, in horrible conditions he directed the forwards around the pitch and kept them working hard whilst still controlling his own game and making important tackles and making good decisions.
