Let's have a recap of how our Youth teams got on at the weekend...

Under 6s | Beau

Congratulations to Beau for being named the U6 Player of the Week for this week. His exceptional listening skills and dedication shone brightly during training today, especially during the challenging obstacle course. Beau's ability to take feedback and apply it on the field not only showcased his talent but also inspired his teammates to elevate their own performances. Well done Beau.

Under 7s | Alicia

The squad did well working on skills today. With passing improving during the session and catching on the run was superb today. The player of the week was Alicia who was particularly evasive during bulldog.

Under 8s | Chloe

Chloe was excellent at the passing drills, with great footwork and speed and listened carefully to the coaches instructions before executing the tasks enthusiastically.

Under 9s | Ethan

Ethan’s defence has improved immensely over the last couple of weeks, he has gained great confidence in tackling, putting the attacking team under pressure and executing his tackles low and safely. Well done Ethan, keep up the good work.

Under 10s | Oliver & Euan

Player of the week was Oliver, who demonstrated his usual strong runs and set up a lovely try with a delicate offload. His rucking was ferocious with great clean outs at the break down.

Euan was our tackler of the week who was back to his tackling best today in training. Well done Players!

Under 10s Social

The Under 10s went on their team social this week, rock climbing as a team, including their families and siblings.

The trip was subsidized by the minis fund which is raised by volunteers opening the kiosk each week.

Under 11s | Dexter

Our standout player today was Dexter, who really put in a top class shift with all our drills and worked his socks off!

Ravens Under 12s | Emily

In today’s game against an excellent Barbarians side our girls showed us all the skills they have worked hard on. All of the girls were excellent on the ball today, showing good footwork and running hard into gaps. Our Ravens showed great team work, and an improvement throughout in the tackles. Our Ravens of the day was Emily, Emily was all over the pitch making tackles, using her trademark rucking skills and a worthy winner of the Raven.

Under 12s | Grayson

In a tough but well fought game, this week’s player of the week for the under 12's was Grayson who showed great footwork to get the team up the pitch and some really good kicks when the team was under pressure.

Under 14s | Nick & George

An amazing day for the Under 14s. First time putting two squads out! We even lent players to the opposition. Trowbridge chose our MoTM Nick, great energy around the park.

Maidenhead chose our MoTM George. Led from the front in his carries and was dominant in defence.

Under 13s | Zach

Zach won Player of the match as selected by Coney Hill coaches. He tackled consistently well throughout out the game and scoring 3 tries.

Under 15s | Finn

The U15's travelled to Oldfield in Bath for a tough game played in a good competitive spirit with great rugby values. Player of the week is Finn. On Friday night he showed great forward skills and lots of energy.

Ravens Under 14s | Emma

Our Raven U14s played North Somerset Barbarians RFC with both teams supported by North Dorset RFC. It was a great contest, with good tackling, rucking, support play and a festival of tries.

The Ravens started slowly, but grew in confidence against a similarly matched side. The Ravens tackled hard, and were more committed to the rucks, and so had more ball for the speedster backs to use. We exploited the space with fantastic support play and were able to score some quality tries.

The growth in confidence of our players was obvious from our tackling to calling for the ball in attack. This was highlighted most by our player of the day, Emma, whose ball carrying, tackling and support play was hugely improved.

Under 16s | Toby

Toby was voted today’s MoM against Cobras. A number of strong runs from fullback and a decisive try in the 2nd half on the back of a well worked backs move topped a strong all round performance.

Under 16s | Zach

Zach was voted man in the match today because of his constant work rate. That hit hard in every tackle and worked his socks off to get to every Breakdown, this contributed hugely to an impressive victory over a very strong Devizes side.
