Join us this summer for our new social rugby activities at RWBRFC

From non-contact sports to mixed-ability games, we have fun options that will suit everyone, whether you're a seasoned player or a rugby novice...

Walking Rugby

Starting Monday, June 5th, 6:30pm to 8pm, rediscover the joy of the game with new Walking Rugby sessions, led by Rhys Floyd. These free sessions are open to everyone in the community, whether a club member or not. Walking rugby is suitable for anyone aged 45+ or those with a health condition. Stay active, have fun, and make new friends while enjoying the game we all love. See you on the field!

What is Walking Rugby?

Walking Rugby is a modified interpretation of the game that offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals of all abilities, especially those aged 45 and above, or those with health conditions, to participate in a non-contact version of the sport.

In Walking Rugby, players must walk instead of running, ensuring lower impact on joints and reducing the risk of injuries. The game still retains the core elements of rugby, such as passing, kicking, and teamwork, but at a slower pace.

Whether you're a rugby enthusiast or a complete beginner, Walking Rugby welcomes individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds.

Summer Touch Rugby

Starting on 7th June, Touch Rugby returns to the club every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8pm. These fun, energetic sessions are free and open to club members aged 14 and above. With no tackling involved, Touch Rugby offers a thrilling, non-contact version of the game that allows players to showcase their agility, speed, and strategic thinking. It's a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and have a blast on the field.

Family Touch Rugby

Looking for an activity that brings the whole family together? Join us every Thursday from 8th June, 6:30pm to 8pm for Family Touch Rugby. These special sessions are open to our younger players aged 13 and under, as well as their parents. Come on down and get involved in a game alongside your loved ones.

Mixed-ability Rugby

Join us for an exhilarating game of Mixed-Ability Rugby every Monday from 3rd July, 6:30pm to 8pm. Experienced coaches from the Bath Rugby Foundation will be joined by Rich Gosling from our 3rd XV who will guide you through the session. No matter your skill level, these inclusive free rugby sessions will guarantee an exciting experience for everyone involved.
