Put a date in your diary for the Royal Wootton Bassett Sausage & Cider Festival 2024 here at Ballards Ash on Saturday 20th April.

Lovers of cider will be able to peruse a choice of Craft Ciders & Perries in our Festival Marquee. While gourmet sausages and burgers will be on the barbeque for those feeling hungry. There wll be a choice of exciting rugby matches and live music taking to the stage.

RUGBY!

As ever, our festival this year will offer a choice of exciting rugby matches.  Kicking off with the annual McCue Cup - a celebratory rugby match between REME Training Battalion and a RWBRFC President’s XV.  Then our RWBRFC 1st XV will face Chippenham RFC in round 2 of the Papa Johns Cup Community Cup. Top rugby action from start to finish.

MUSIC!

Live music is always a popular element of our Festivals and this year we are excited to welcome Swindon's romantic punk band indie band Here Come The Crows, followed by the dynamic, high energy four piece Mojo and then Groove Club Collective finishing the evening with some classic funk. So be prepared for some awesome singalong music throughout the day!

FAMILY FUN

George Scarrott and Son’s Family Fun Fair will provide entertainment for the younger ones and there will be a range of vendors and stalls to browse around the field courtesy of Royal Wootton Bassett's Carnival. Our friends from R.E.M.E will be on hand with a fun army assault course and other attractions.

Our friends from Ride of Respect will again support the Sausage & Cider Festival. The mass ride by motorcyclists through Royal Wootton Bassett will pay tribute to our service personnel and their families, arriving at RWBRFC to make a procession around the perimeter of the first team pitch prior to kick-off of the McCue Cup match.

Cider & Sausages!

Cider and scrumpy fans will be able to peruse a wide choice selection of Ciders & Perries in our marquee. A tasty range of gourmet sausages and burgers will be waiting for you to sample on the grill.

Entry to the Festival and a Festival Programme is £5 on the gate, with Under 18s free to enter and free car parking available on site.

We are pleased to be able to take payment by card.

Sausage and Cider Festival Tokens System

The Sausage & Cider refreshments will be hosted in our external marquee. To reduce queuing, cider, real ale, sausages and burgers may be purchased in the marquee with the exchange of a special token. Throughout our Festival, our RWBRFC Clubhouse Bar will be open as normal serving refreshments by token payment.

Tokens can be purchased on-site throughout the day. Tokens are non-refundable.

Only alcohol purchased at the event may be consumed on our premises.
