Yes, that’s right - our Sausage & Cider Festival - sponsored by Walfins - will be bigger and better this year, spread over two days, full of the very best Rugby, Cider, Sausages and Live Music.
Lovers of cider will be able to peruse a choice of Craft Ciders & Perries in our Festival Marquee. While gourmet sausages and burgers will be on the barbeque for those feeling hungry.
Rugby!
This year the rugby gets started on the evening of Friday 12th May, with the popular McCue Cup - a celebratory rugby match between Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Battalion and a RWBRFC President’s XV.
On Saturday 13th May we are excited to be hosting two County matches – Senior Ladies and Senior Mens. Dorset & Wilts Senior Ladies and Devon Senior Ladies kicks off at 1pm, and Dorset & Wilts Senior Men vs Devon Senior Men kicks off at 3pm.
Music
Live music is always a big part of our Festival and this year we are super-excited to welcome:
Friday 12th May:
- Old Friends in the clubhouse
Saturday 13th May:
- from 5pm: the powerful Chelsea Millard;
- from 7pm: the grooviest and funkiest band around, Sophia and the Soul Brothers;
- from 9pm: great soul and pop from Midnight Hour
Family Fun
George Scarrott and Son’s Fun Fair will provide entertainment for the younger ones and there will be a range of stalls to browse around the field courtesy of RWB’s Carnival Committee. Our friends from R.E.M.E will be on hand with a fun army assault course and other attractions.
