A Full Day of Entertainment

There’s plenty happening across the day for all ages!

Whether you're a rugby supporter, cider enthusiast, foodie, music lover, or simply looking for a great family day out, the Sausage & Cider Festival has something for everyone.

🍺 Festival Cider Marquee

Cider and scrumpy fans will be able to peruse a wide selection of ciders in our festival marquee, featuring a variety of styles to suit every taste — from crisp and refreshing to rich, traditional scrumpy.

🌭 Sausages!

If you’re feeling hungry, our grills will be fired up and ready with a tasty range of gourmet sausages and burgers, freshly cooked and perfect for enjoying while you soak up the festival atmosphere.

🎠 Family Fun

George Scarrott and Son’s Fun Fair will entertain the younger ones with funfair rides, bungee trampolines, inflatables, stalls, and sweet treats.

🏉 Rugby at the festival

Alongside the food, drink and live music, there’s a full afternoon of rugby to enjoy, with three great fixtures showcasing the game at every level — from inclusive formats to competitive representative action.

12pm – 1pm

Walking Rugby Tournament

The day kicks off with a Walking Rugby Tournament, featuring the RWBRFC ‘Old Dogs’ team.

A slower-paced version of the game that’s big on skill, teamwork and laughs, proving rugby really is a sport for all ages and abilities.

1pm – 2.30pm

McCue Cup Match

A firm festival favourite, the annual McCue Cup sees the Royal Wootton Bassett RFC President’s XV take on REME 8th Training Battalion.

Expect a competitive, hard-fought contest with plenty of pride at stake.

3pm – 4.45pm

County Championship Match

The headline fixture of the day sees Dorset & Wilts go head-to-head with Berkshire in a County Championship clash.

High-quality rugby, physical encounters and a great way to round off the on-pitch action.
