We all survived the wind and storms this weekend and managed to play some great rugby. Here are some highlights from our Minis & Juniors.

Under 6s | Harry

Good session today. Everyone seemed to have fun. We gave Harry player of the week for having a good session in general, good focus, trying hard.

Under 7s | Joseph

Joseph was player of the week for U7 for good tagging.

Under 9s | Alexander & Joseph

Alexander didn’t let the conditions stop him, he was utterly determined and led the way in both attack and defence.

Dylan’s tackling technique and determination was of the highest level today. Scything down the opposition for fun.

The Under 9s also held their first team social at Laserquest this weekend.  Helped by some volunteers from Under 13s and teams bolstered by some Under 7s!

Under 8s | Alfie

Alfie had great defensive and attacking play! Well done!

Under 11s | Rupert

Player of the week for Under 11's went to Rupert who had a great game against a good Cricklade side making plenty of tackles and turnovers, picking up a bloody nose in the process.

Under 10s | Luke

Player of the week was Luke this week, who worked really hard all morning, scored some great tries and supported his team mates. And well done to Ollie for the great tackles that he put in - definitely a worthy winner of tackle of the week.

Under 12s | Finley

Finley is U12s Player of the Match for his all round game in attack and defence in a closely contested win against Chippenham.

Under 13s | Jack

Cracking performance this morning, they were all an absolute joy to watch. Played some fantastic rugby.

Really tough to pick a player of the week this week. It goes to Jack for his excellent wing play in both attack and defence and rounded off his performance with a hattrick.

Under 14s | Team

U14s were away against Keynsham this Sunday. A close game with the score line tied at half time, but a solid team performance in the 2nd half secured a RWB win in the end. Well played to both teams.

Under 15s | Harvey

In tough conditions got through some hard yards in the carry with a relentless work rate around the pitch. Harvey managed this with a smile on his face always. 😀

Under 15s | Jazz

Jazz lead a struggling pack forward with a tackle set of five. He brought real energy to the game and showed passion. Keep it going Jazz 👍

Ravens | U16s and U18s

Ravens U16s played Bristol Pumas with the team really starting to work together and the new players are making amazing progress! Coaches’ player of the match was Avalyn and parents’ player of the match was Emily L.

Ravens U18s played Bristol Pumas supported by players from Trowbridge and Lionessss, facing a well drilled Bristol and Chippenham combination team. Hard day at the office but real grit and determination shown by the girls who kept competing until the final whistle! Player of the match was Lucy U.

U16s | Oscar

Oscar played incredibly well today against a very good Bredon Star RFC. He set the standard and led by example, demonstrating high work rate, hard tackling and excellence in attack despite the difficult weather conditions.

Oscar has only been playing rugby for 18 months, RWBRFC is his first club. He has shown great progress with his skills and understanding of the game.
