It's getting colder, windier and wetter as the season progresses (proper rugby weather) but our Minis and Juniors were still out in force on Sunday. Let's catch up with how they got on...
Under 6s | Tommy
Tommy did really well avoiding being tagged when he had the ball and was tenacious getting tags when defending.
Under 7s | Skyla
This week's player of the week was Skyla. Great offloads and technique during the matches and taking all the skills on board.
Under 8s | Mila & Richard
Mila displayed great teamwork and values this week.
Richard is our player of the week, he was switched on this week like we have never seen before, committed in defence, and menacing on attack, tries galore for the young man, and well deserved.
Under 9s | Corban & Harry
Player of the week Corban. Although he can be quiet Corban had great tackle technique and tenacity within the skill zones.
Tackler of the week was Harry - a one man tackling crew making four tackles in a row at one point!
Under 10s | Jack & Archie
Jack wins tackle of the week as he just got involved in absolutely everything today and wouldn’t let anyone get away!
And also a big welcome to Archie - well done for getting stuck in on your first week with us, great to see a couple of excellent tries and well deserving of player of the week!
Under 11s | Sam
Sam was player of the week and has taken home Bertie for the Under 11's. There was 110% effort given in all drills during training.
Under 12s Ravens | Lexi
During the game vs Drybrook, team Captain Lexi made some amazing line breaks, put in some wonderful tackles, and was a great team player.
Under 14s Ravens | Eloise
Eloise has only been playing for 12 months, but has become an integral part of the Ravens. In our game vs a strong Drybrook side, she ran hard, tackled strongly, and adapted well, starting at centre and moving to fly half due to injuries. Great performance in a tough game.
Under 13s | Leo, Josh and Yitak
All three showed great effort and never gave up in a tough game.
Under 14s | Squad
A wet and windy fixture away at Broad Plain RFC this weekend for U14s. Difficult conditions but team secured the away win.
Under 16s | Ollie
With an excellent all round display Ollie struck fear into the opposition with not one but two tries from attacking scrums after picking and going on both occasions. Well done Ollie.
