News from our Minis, Juniors and Ravens teams this weekend
Under 6s | Ben
This week the under 6s had a gladiator themed session. Bringing back the 90's!
Ben got player of the week this week. He did well on our gladiator themed games, excelling on The Gauntlet and The Ring.
Under 7s | Oscar
Oscar was player of the week for U7 for great listening and passing.
Under 9s | Hunter & Corban
Player of the week was Hunter. Hunter’s support play was fantastic, supporting the ball and the space. Great team play all around and worked hard in both attack and defence.
Under 8s | Atti
Atti was great at listening and made great progress! Well done!
Under 10s | Oliver
Oliver was absolutely amazing today, showing great leadership and getting stuck into every tackle, so it was easy to award him with tackle of the week. And something really clicked with Amabel today, winning player of the week by showing great strength and determination to score 4 tries in quick succession.
Under 11s | Tomas
Tomas got player of the week for 100% commitment in our training session and showing support in attack and scoring a couple try’s in the game at the end of the session.
Under 14s | Team
A solid allround team effort, coupled with some strong individual performances saw the U14s secure the win at home this weekend against Marlborough.
Under 15s | Robert
Robert playing on the wing against Stroud ran strongly throughout the game. Facing an impressive fullback he kept probing the defence and making countless metres as he carried the ball into space. His hat-trick of tries were just reward for his endeavours.
Under 16s | Joe
Joe played out of position this weekend and did so well, it’s like he’s always played there. Normally a scrum half, this weekend Joe played on the wing and had a huge impact on Bassett’s expansive rugby for the day.
With several try-saving tackles and excellent runs, breaking the defensive line on numerous occasions Joe struck fear into his opposite player. Keep up the good work.
Under 16s Ravens | Kacey
Coaches’ play of the match was Kacey. She played a new position and really came gave it all for her team.
Under 16s Ravens | Frannie
Captain’s player of the match was Frannie! Some amazing tackles and determination shown.
