The 6 Nations matches must have inspired our younger players because there were some great performances and maximum effort on show this weekend.
Under 6s | Oliver
Oliver was new this session and tried really hard for the whole time.
Under 7s | Fin
Fin was player of the week for super speedy running!
Under 8s | William
Great use of space and using his incredible pace, grew in confidence when asking for the ball. Well done William!
Under 11s | Squad
Player of the week went to the whole under 11’s squad. The effort the whole team brought to the game was fantastic, they went toe to toe with Frome in a very tough and physical game.. and scoring some great team try’s! Great game!!
Under 9s | Dylan & Alexander
Player of the week was Dylan. A great performance by Dylan who showed great footwork while running, provided great support to his team mates and made some really well time tackles. Awesome!
Tackler of the week was Alexander. Tackles galore by Alexander (what did he have for breakfast?!) He work hard to take away the attackers space, he marshalled the Basset defence and show exceptional tackle technique. Fantastic!
Under 10s | Freya & Dexter
Freya and Dexter who are sharing tackle of the week for their big hits and great tackle technique
Under 12s | Jack
Player of the week is Jack for excellent effort in and around the ruck and great tackling.
Under 13s | George
Player of the week this week goes to George. Great work rate and made a couple of try-saving tackles.
Under 15s | Karl
After not playing since November Karl stepped up and played at scrum half. He made some good tackles and passes under alot of pressure. To cap his day off he dived over the line to score his first try of the season on the last play of the game.
Under 15s | Chris
Chris and Toby were nominated the joint man of the match award. Chris at 7, covered every blade of grass and put in numerous big hits on the Stroud 10 and their strike runners. Well done to both players.
Under 15s | Toby
Chris and Toby were nominated the joint man of the match award. Toby for strong running at 15, running the ball in from distance for 2 tries and dominating the space behind his defensive line.
