🚣‍♂️ Under 14s take on 150km Fundraising Challenge
Our Under 14s are gearing up for an unforgettable rugby tour to the West Coast Rugby Festival in early May — and they’re putting in some serious work to help make it happen.
On Saturday 14th February, 20 of our U14 touring players, alongside a few brave parents and coaches, will take on a sponsored rowing challenge covering the 150km distance from Royal Wootton Bassett to Barnstaple — the home of the festival. All rowing will take place on static rowing machines, with the team sharing the distance across the day.
The challenge will run throughout the day, with the team setting up from 9am in the Clubhouse conference room. Supporters are encouraged to pop in, cheer them on, and help keep the energy levels high as the kilometres tick by.
Alongside the rowing challenge, there will be plenty going on to help raise additional funds:
-
🎟️ Raffle with some cracking prizes up for grabs
-
🍔 Burgers & Chips available during the Senior 1st XV home match vs Sidmouth RFC
-
🏉 Fundraising continuing while the Six Nations match is screened in the clubhouse afterwards
Donation buckets will be available throughout the day, with cash and card payments both welcome.
The team would love as much support as possible — whether that’s making a donation, buying a raffle ticket, grabbing some food, or simply stopping by to encourage the rowers as they take on this big challenge.
Thank you for supporting our Under 14s and helping them get one step closer to their tour adventure!
