It was the last weekend of rugby before the Christmas break, and our Junior teams went out with a bang!

Under 13s | Yitak

Player of the match went to Yitak whose second half performance especially was phenomenal. Try saving tackles, ripping the ball on the try line and some intelligent exits.

Under 12s | Ryleigh

Ryleigh was the player of the game in our Ravens U12s match when both Lexi and Ryleigh were joined by Trowbridge to play Pumas, and dominated possession.

Under 14s | Ravens

Amazing performance from our U14s girls today. Every player really stepped up to finish the year strongly, beating a strong Chipping Sodbury Pumas team 41-17. It was incredibly difficult to choose a player of the day, but Julia got it for some incredibly strong runs and strong rucking.

Under 15s | Guy

Our U15s played Supermarine who's defense was very strong. RWB were patient and then found a way through. Our man of the match Guy lead by example thwarting all their advances going in the second half 14-0 up. Guy carried the ball as hard in minute 60 as he did in minute 1.

Under 15s | Henry

Against strong opponents and with Bassett under pressure for long periods of the game, Henry’s incursions into the attacking line lifted the team, however his tenacity in chasing down & tackling opposition breakaways in the wide channels, stopped 5 clear scoring opportunities, characterised a strong performance at full back. Well done, Henry!

Under 16s | Harry

Harry showed excellent work rate, tackle completion and ball carrying skills in today’s difficult match against Frampton Cotterell. This was a great way for Harry to finish the year after showing excellent progress with his development this season.

Under 16s | Theo

Special Mention - The U16s would like to extend their thanks to Theo from the U11s who supported the U16s with ballboy duties. This is an excellent example from Theo of rugby’s core values Teamwork, Sportsmanship & Respect. Well done Theo!!

Colts | Chris Toon, Reuben Engley, Jackson Allen, Roo Rebello and Sol Hopkins

While our Colts teams were without a match this week, five of our U18s were selected to play for Dorset & Wilts in the county game against Berkshire at Hartpury University. Pictured here with Bassett physio Megan Lawley who was on duty with the county squad. The result didn't go our way, but the boys all put up great performances with three of the tries scored by Toon.
