Royal Wootton Bassett to host A League fixture between Gloucester and Exeter
As you may have read earlier this month, we are very excited to confirm that we will be hosting a Premiership Rugby A League match between Gloucester Rugby and Exeter Braves.
The match will be played at Ballard's Ash, the home of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC on Monday 18 December (kick off 7.30pm).
Gloucester expressed a drive to take their A League games on the road to local clubs this season - the first of which will be this Round Six fixture against Exeter held at Royal Wootton Bassett.
Chris Elias, chairman of RWBRFC, described the club staging the match as “a bit of coup for us."
The club is anticipating a bumper crowd at the Ballards Ash fixture a week before Christmas. “We are hoping to make it a festive night for all the family,” Chris said. “It is in the run-up to Christmas so we are hoping to get a good crowd down to the ground."
