Hello everyone - a short update from me this time.

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked so hard over the first half of the season to make the club feel as normal as possible during these challenging times.

Hopefully with the vaccine roll out and with greater direction from the RFU re adapted playing we should see some further progress to competitive fixtures from January – assuming we don’t have another lockdown!

Christmas is normally a time of great activity in the club, with Boxing Day in particular a time when everyone can get together to share some festive rugby and Bonhomie. Sadly, due to the impracticalities of our Tier 2 restrictions we will not be able to open the club this year so we will miss the opportunity of a glass or two together.

That said all is not lost!

The 500 CLUB December and Grand Annual Draws will take place on Boxing Day and will be streamed live on our Facebook pageYoutube channel and on this website at 2pm! Do not forget to tune in to find out if you are one of this year’s lucky winners.

If you're feeling left out, don’t worry, there is always next year. The 500 CLUB pays out over 50% of its takings in cash prizes, so there is always a great chance of winning. Its also a great way to fundraise for the club. If you would like to be involved in 2021 please drop Alec Adams an email and he will be delighted to sign you up!.

I hope everyone has a peaceful family Christmas.

Take care,

Chris Elias
Chairman, Royal Wootton Bassett RFC
