There are spaces available for new Junior Rugby players at Royal Wootton Bassett RFC
With the return of rugby soon to begin for a very special season, Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club has invited young players to come and give rugby a try.
As an introduction, new players can train for 4 weeks for free before deciding to join the club.
Alan Low, Director of Rugby at RWBRFC said, “This year is the club's 50th anniversary, with a season's worth of special activities planned. So there's no better time for new players to come along and try rugby with us, regardless of their previous experience.”
“It’s an opportunity for anyone who has played the game at school and wants to play more regularly, or guys who have moved to the area and are seeking a local club.”
Sue Allen, Team Manager for the club's Under 16s team agrees. "We're always on the lookout for young people who have played rugby at school and wish to develop their rugby skills further, or would like to try playing rugby for the first time. Being part of a club team is an ideal way to improve their skills, develop their fitness and make new friends."
RWBRFC runs a full Minis’ section for boys and girls aged 5 to 12, plus Junior sections for boys aged 13 to 16. “We have qualified coaches across our age groups, providing opportunities for anyone wanting to improve their individual rugby skills" added Sue.
Any young people interested in coming aloing to a rugby training session can get more information at www.rwbrfc.club or by emailing directorofrugby@rwbrfc.club
